Once at the falls, there are two main cliffs to jump from. One of them ranges between feet and the other is around 50 feet.

I'll also add that I wouldn't be jumping into any lakes or rivers in California considering how little water may be in them.

Even spots that I went to when I was younger aren't the same these days.

Google cliff jumping in California and you'll find tons. I just wanted advice from people who have been recently and can recommend some with good deep water levels. I just Googled "cliff jumping" for CA and it looks like most are just jumping off rocks into lakes and swimming holes. I think when most of us hear "cliff jumping", we think of ocean cliff jumping, especially since you said you were driving along the coast from LA to SF.

Sorry we misunderstood. But yes, we have been in a multi-year drought, so opportunities for jumping off rocks into water may not be as good as in other times. Most of the "tons of cliff jumping" spots are not on the PCH. If you are driving on PCH, you won't get lakes and rivers with tall cliffs. Jumping off to the ocean, from what I see, is the only way. Are they safe? Just not for everybody. I am very sorry but Sunset Cliffs in San Diego is NOT a place to jump off the ciff into the ocean unless you are planning to commit suicide!

This is NOT something that is encouraged here or even legal to do! It is not an activity! The list on that web site is just a list of high places and not a list of places where folks have fun doing this activity. We have had several folks either needing to be rescued from the cliffs or from the ocean and some who have died.
